RockerNRoller🎃👻💀 Into the Halloween spirit with Tim Schafer's 'Grim Fandango' OST by Peter McConnell. 💿 (30 October 1998) ‎ ‎ ‎ Even decades after its original release, 'Grim Fandango' remains one of the most original concepts in video games and is still easily one of my all-time favourites. It served as a kind of swan song for the golden age of the point-and-click adventure genre before its popularity declined around 2000, only to see a revival in the early 2010s. I was thrilled when Tim Schafer’s Double Fine remastered 'Grim Fandango' after acquiring the rights following LucasArts’ closure in 2013. It was also fantastic to see Peter McConnell’s fabulous swing jazzy soundtrack, in remastered format, finally get a vinyl release for the game’s 20th anniversary in 2018. I am definitely keeping it next to my heart, or maybe as Manny Calavera would say: "My scythe...
