Just a few hundred meters away from us, a Shahed drone struck an open area along the Dnipro River, in the city of Dnipro. We immediately put on our protective vests. Moments later, we were talking with a group of young people about how lucky it was that no people or homes had been hit in that first strike. But while we were standing there, we saw air defense systems go into action in the distance. And we heard the familiar, droning sound of another incoming Shahed – a large Russian drone carrying between 50 and 200 kilos of explosives, depending on the type. We visited several of the affected sites last night – and all of them were right in the middle of residential neighborhoods. And still, today we “just” continue our humanitarian work.
