Has CBC had any positive headlines this election for anyone besides traitor pierre? Endless BS shade thrown at Carney like their Fuck Trudeau pundits have just switched out Trudeau for Carney.

I'm so close to agreeing that CBC should lose funding if it can't be unbiased. Start by cancelling #CBCNews and their MAGA biased political shows, but keep the rest of the programming since it seems unaffected.

CBC news (Tim Devlin) just called the regulations that ensure clean water, clean air and other necessities as 'Anti Development Laws'.

#CBC is no longer a news agency, it is a tabloid that undermines truth, reality and the public good.

Fashion in ‘North of North’ has generated a lot of comment in social media.

I’ve noticed that many of these come with assumptions about what women would be wearing in Inuit communities, and a lack of understanding of the importance of sustainable design in Inuit culture.

CBC has a great feature with interviews with the show’s creators on the point.

‘The show's emphasis on slow fashion ran counter to a film industry that often operates on a quicker schedule.

"Nothing here is mass-made," Aglok MacDonald said. "So it really is going out to independent artists who are just crafting a few things here and there and seeing if they could put in a bulk order."’

CBCSlow fashion, bold earrings and traditional tattoos: Inuit design takes centre stage in North of North | CBC LifeThe show’s authentic style is a breakout star — and a powerful reflection of contemporary Inuit life.

I hope this Rebel media bullshit is David Cochrane’s journalistic Lex Luther moment at the #cbc Pierre helped Ezra Levants campaign to run as an MP in the early 2000s, and has Pierre said jack shit about the post debate clusterfuck? No. Believe me I have lots of issues with #cbc but if you think rebel is even tangentially journalism in any way, hopefully you shit out the red pill you’ve swallowed. May this be the death of “both-sidesism” in #canada #cdnelection #ottawa #cdnpoli

The Birmingham garbage strike made the #cbc radio program 'As It Happens' this evening.

No mention of a genocide keeping Netanyahu in office in #gaza on 'Your World Tonight' news nor so far on AIH.

Why?

Because we need to be entertained, folks. Boaty McBoat Face we understand. Breaking shop windows before we go home from sporting events. Stuff like that.

Fuck off with all the rest. That's our world tonight, [redacted]s.

Suck on that.

The #CBC At Issue panel discusses last night's #LeadersDebate: m.youtube.com/watch?v=q59fq-Ts

It was a good debate for #PierrePoilievre, they say, and #MarkCarney showed his inexperience at politics. (FWIW, #Polymarket's odds for a Liberal win went up about 2% at the end of the debate, and then drifted down by the same amount.)

#ChantalHébert points out that if the #CPC were to go up in overall support, that would likely push more NDP/BQ voters to the Liberals in response.

“You’ve seen the headlines. You’ve heard the spin.

That’s how the woke mainstream media wants you to see Pierre Poilievre”.

👆This is how partisan, divisive “Team Pierre” sell their Conservative base a podcast of #Poilievre “totally unscripted, unfiltered, and real”

So now our mainstream media, whom Pierre already treats with disdain, are simply “woke spin” for Poilievre’s #Conservatives?

Don’t trust the polls, don’t believe the Carney hype, don’t believe the woke media. Listen only to Team Pierre or Rebel News for the “real truth”. Sound familiar to anyone?

Further bolstering this Conservative war on truth, our own #Election2025 #LeadersDebatesCommission is letting Rebel News influencers and other right wing media dominate the post election debates, spreading their propaganda louder and further than our shackled mainstream media ever could.

We’re already witnessing this same strategy successfully employed in #Trump’s America.

#FOX media’s trick is to flood the truth with hate bait and disinformation, obstruct facts with propaganda, then present their own false narrative as the “real truth”.

Team Pierre regularly lies to his base, both to comfort them and to say “heads up, anyone who sees #PierrePoilievre for the pocket fascist he truly is, is a woke enemy”

In the end, this is an election not a hockey game. This isn’t Team Pierre vs Team Woke. Poilievre’s divisive language is being used strategically to pit voters against one another, rather than on his own contentious policies.

Truth is, we are all fighting for Team #Canada and this is no game; it’s a calculated war of idealogy.

We must all vote for a future free from populist Pierre’s autocratic rule and free from the onslaught on truth waged by partisan #RebelNews and other right wing American media networks.

Poilievre’s ultimate goal is to see these populist, hate bait influencers replace our “woke” #CBC, substituting perceived “Liberal spin” with Conservative tabloid propaganda.

Stay strong and encourage everyone you know to vote with awareness of what’s truly at stake; our facts, our rights and our sovereignty.

Truth itself is all but spin if Poilievre gets his win.

@GottaLaff

Not a peep on Canada's failing #cbc news tonight.

We needed to hear about a guy who 50 years ago as a kid got blown out into Lake Ontario on a raft, was rescued and forgot to say thank you or something.

Touching story.

Far more important to a national broadcaster that this past weekend published not one but four IA-generated photos of the liberal prime ministerial election candidate sharing a laugh with notorious sex offender and suicide Jeffrey Epstein.

#New webpages that offer lite versions, with no images, are great. I prefer #CanadianNews whenever possible. I rank my 3 lite news page sources as
1. #CNN
2. #NPR
3. #CBC

CNN offers a nice long list of news to read, their page is ugly but works so nice with #FireFox reader view.
NPR has less news is great layout on its own and good in reader view.
CBC is my preferred news source, and it is the most flexible but, it does not work in reader view.
