Mushroom Colony

While out hiking in Yosemite heading up to Mirror Lake I spotted this Mushroom Colony off to the side of the trail.
I had to get down on my Belly so I could get low enough to capture this perspective. There had to be hundreds of mushrooms in this colony, but many of them were in some state of decay and rotting.

Mushroom Colony This is a closeup image of a mushroom colony that I found while hiking up towards Mirror Lake in Yosemite Valley. This is a ground level perspective. The colony had hundreds of mushrooms, this is just a section of the colony that was in good shape. These are umbrella style mushroom if there is such a thing. They all have the fins below the light brown canopy and the stems are visible on many of them.
